Lulu took home the Best Actress East Africa award for the movie "Mapenzi" and gave a shaky speech as she collected her trophy.
The actress earlier told Pulse TV on the red carpet, "I really don't know if I would win but I am hopeful. That's all I would say."Well, she won.

Lulu shared a video of her return to Tanzania on March 9 onInstagram showing a large crowd waiting for her at the arrivals. The actress was greeted by happy fans, dance groups and older men and women.

The AMVCA winner could be seen jumping in excitement on a moving car as the crowd cheered on. Kids could be seen wearing T-shirts baring the actress' name and face while others practically screamed as they watched her car drive by.
